One Of Fuel Resistance Rubber For Check Valve--Fluororubber/FKM

Fluororubber is a synthetic polymer elastomer that contains fluorine atoms on the carbon atoms of its main or side chains, endowing rubber with excellent heat resistance, oxidation resistance, oil resistance, corrosion resistance, and atmospheric aging resistance. These characteristics of fluororubber make it widely used in multiple fields, especially in the cutting-edge industry of national defense, where it occupies an indispensable position. The following are the main advantages and disadvantages of Fluororubber:

Advantage
High temperature resistance: Fluororubber can maintain stable performance in high temperature environments and can usually be used for a long time in the temperature range of 200 ° C to 250 ° C, and even work for a short time at high temperatures of 300 ° C.

Chemical corrosion resistance: It has excellent stability against various chemical substances, including organic solvents, inorganic acids, oxidants, etc.
Aging resistance: It has good ozone resistance and weather resistance, and the product can maintain good performance even after being stored in natural environments for many years.

Mechanical performance: It has excellent mechanical properties, including good airtightness and resistance to UV discoloration.

Widely used: It has been widely applied in fields such as aerospace, aviation, automotive, petroleum, and household appliances.

Disadvantages:
Poor processing performance: The rubber material is prone to sticking to the rollers, and special attention needs to be paid during the processing.

Poor cold resistance: The performance will significantly decrease at low temperatures, usually suitable for the temperature range of -26 ° C to 282 ° C.

Not resistant to water and other solvents: has weak resistance to water, water vapor, acid-base, salt solutions, and certain organic polar solvents.

Poor electrical performance: The electrical insulation performance is average and not suitable for use as an insulation material in high temperature environments.

In summary, fluororubber plays an irreplaceable role in many industrial fields due to its excellent high temperature resistance, oil resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance. However, its processing difficulty, low-temperature performance, and electrical limitations also affect its application scope to some extent.
